Our History
At Miller-Mize Precast, we’re proud to begin a new chapter in a long-standing tradition of excellence in precast manufacturing. In late 2021, Stephen McRae, a structural engineer with over 20 years of precast experience, acquired the company from Carter and David Mize, continuing a legacy built on quality, craftsmanship, and innovation that spans more than five decades.
The company’s roots trace back to 1969, when it was founded as Kendrick Concrete Products, later becoming Columbus Precast. In 1987, Fred Miller purchased the business and rebranded it as Miller Precast, earning a reputation for high-quality products and dependable service over the next 21 years.
In 2008, Carter and David Mize took the helm, launching the next era as Miller-Mize Precast. They expanded capabilities, modernized operations, and further solidified the company’s standing across the Southeast.
Now under Stephen McRae’s leadership, Miller-Mize Precast remains committed to the values that have defined it for generations—delivering exceptional architectural precast and cast stone solutions while embracing innovation and preparing for the future. Guided by experience and driven by a passion for excellence, we continue to honor our heritage as we build what’s next.
